The Happily Ever After Game
Looking for a fun way to bring couples together and spark laughter in your community? The Happily Ever After game is the perfect activity for senior citizens—bringing all the charm and nostalgia of the Newlywed Game but with a little more heart and a lot more wisdom!
What You’ll Need:
-
A list of fun and lighthearted questions (we’ve got some ideas below!)
-
Two separate answer sheets or boards for each couple
-
A way to keep score (optional—though it adds a competitive touch)
-
A sense of humor and a whole lot of love!
Setting Up:
First things first, divide the couples into teams. If you’re playing with a group, having 5-10 couples works great. Each couple will sit together, ready to answer questions. You can even set up a little “stage” area for the couple who’s answering at the moment—add a few decorations to set the mood!
How to Play:
Now for the fun part! The host (that’s you!) will ask a series of questions. The twist is that each person in the couple has to answer on their own. For example, the question might be, “What was the first movie you saw together?” The first person answers secretly, while their partner writes down their guess. After everyone has answered, the answers are revealed and matched up!
For each matching answer, the couple gets a point. If you're not keeping score, no worries! The main goal is to have fun and enjoy the trip down memory lane.
